Programme purpose:
The programme purpose is to prepare competitive and qualified specialist in information technologies field and hardware-software provision for personal computer, who has special technical skills required for installation of hardware and operational systems, updating, elimination of errors, optimization, diagnosis and service provision; has essential knowledge on key facts, principles, processes and general concepts in the field, acknowledges required steps to be taken for performing difficult tasks.
Programme duration: – 11 months.
Programme eligibility criteria: basic education.
Expected results:
- A person with the basic vocational qualification in Information Technologies is able to:
- Assemble and set up a personal computer;
- Install peripheral devices;
- Install and set up operational system;
- Install application software;
- Ensure security for operational system;
- Differentiate fundamental principles and types of networks;
- Review layers and relevant ports and protocols operating on those layers in the information exchange models (TCP/IP,OSI) of the network;
- Arrange simple wired and wireless internal network;
- Assess hardware and software risks and define prevention measures;
- Identify hardware and software related problems and eliminate accordingly.
